Re: RWF Comrades Associations
Sorry about the old comrades bit!
My mother always says that she is going to the youth club, so perhaps we should change it to the RWF Youth Association, or can you think of a better name?
Cheers

Re: RWF Comrades Associations
The Aberystwyth Branch recently held is Annual Christmas Draw. This years event broke recent years fundraising as we saw the public at large by our tickets very willingly.
One member, an Octgiarian, Maelor Evans sold 558 books this was the highest individual contribution to the Branches fund raising. Thanks to all who sold and bought the tickets this is our one fundraising event of the year and our plans for what we can do are subject to the funds we raise.
This year we have instituted a quarterly newsletter which costs money to produce and we needed to ensure we could continue to bring to our membershiop the news and events that are happening within the Branch and within the Association nationally. From small beginings this publication has now grown to an 8 page newsletter with members having to wait to get their stories of past memories in the RWF published for others to read.
As Branch Secretary I'm over the moon with the responce we are having and would wish to pass on my personal thanks, and the Branches thanks, to Mike Binks who collates and edits the whole newsletter.
2007 starts with our AGM on 24th Januay followed by our St David's Day Dinner which this year sees Lt Col Martin Leader as our Chief Guest on 10th March 2007. Further events are in the pipe-line, but will be firmed up in the early spring.
Thanks for reading my diatribe and everyone have a Cool Yule and a Prosperous New Year.:laugh_xmas:

Hi Paul
The Shotton & Deeside Branch are holding their Christmas Bash tonight (14/12/06).
Like you we have invited outside agencies to boost the nuimbers and make a profit.
Glad to here that you are keeping up the good work with the Newsletter. Tell Sam and Rusty to keep polishing those shooting cups.

Glad to see that you haven't merged with any other branch.
