The forum newsletter
This is to confirm that we will be publishing a Forum Newsletter as previously told on 22 Oct 11. You will now see that a new Main Thread has been created to show this.
I can now confirm that the aims of the Newsletter will be:
Pass on information from individual Forum Members, RWFCA Branches
Pass on information from 1st Bn The Royal Welsh (The Royal Welch Fusiliers) such as
promotions, postings in and out, sports events and marriages etc
I can confirm that the distribution of the newsletter will be:
* A copy posted to the Forum via link
* A copy sent to RWFCA Branch Secretaries via e-mail. If secretaries have not got
e-mail, a copy will be sent to a nominated member from the branch
* A copy sent to the 1st Bn The Royal Welsh (The Royal Welch Fusiliers) via e-mail
I can now confirm that the 1st edition of the Newsletter will be published on 15 Dec. Therefore
all contributions for this 1st edition should be forwarded to me by no later than 1 Dec. This will give the productions staff time to check/amend and publish the newsletter.
Future newsletters will be published at 3 monthly intervals. There maybe special editions as well.
To allow people to contribute to the newsletter a new e-mail address has been created, which is
rwfnewsletter@hotmail.co.uk. MEMBERS CANNOT PASTE ITEMS TO THIS THREAD
The editorial team has one problem and that is the name of the Newsletter. Therefore, we are asking Forum members to help by suggesting a sutiable name. Can you please forward your ideas to me via PM by no later than Tuesday night (8 Nov). Once I have received all nominations I will put up a Poll and get members to have a final choice.
If members wish to make comments on the above or anything else to do with the newsletter, please PM me or send me an email.

Re: The forum newsletter
Guys,
An excellent move, I believe. One which will be particularly welcomed by members, like myself, living away from God's chosen land and out of regular links with Comrades etc.
Thanks for the effort and bolstering the 'family' nature of the 23rd beyond actual service.

Re: The forum newsletter
We have had two name nominations, which are:
'The Flash'
'Y Ddraig Goch'
Either would be an ideal name for the newsletter, but it is a hard decision to make. Therefore, I am you the members of the Forum to make the decision by voting in the Poll that has been created.
The poll will remain open for 2 weeks, and once the decision has been made, I will post the newspaper header as it will be seen.

Re: The forum newsletter
With Y Ddraig Goch already existing in another format and, with The Flash perhaps apposite for comms sent over the world wide web I was drawn to the The Flash; and voted that way.
Thanks for the chance to contribute/be involved.

"The Galloping 23rd"
Flash is still used in 1st Bn when a rag is produced on tour. DDraig Goch could cause confusion with the original annual regt magazine
