Standard Bearer Competition RWFCA - RWCA

As we are all aware eventually The Royal Welch Fusiliers Comrades Association and the Royal Welsh Comrades Association will eventually become one, hopefully I will still be around so that I can wear the Royal Welch Fusiliers Beret, Cap Badge and Hackle with Pride.

As we all know this will happen, do members think we should encourage stronger links between the two.

I have a suggestion and would like some feed back. Being the Standard Bearer for the Cardiff Branch, what do people think if say once a year we had a Standard Bearers competition between the two Associations, I believe this would bring stronger ties between the associations and of course a bit of banter and a social function that we all enjoy.

They could be held in Cardiff one Year and Wrexham the next, as we all know a lot of us served with members of these regiments when completing our basic training, and does anyone see anything wrong in seeking old acquaintances from the past.

In no way am I saying that the Associations should Amalgamate, but we do have to look to the future

    Good Train of thought Bruv,
But looking at the number of entrants at the RWF Standard Bearers Competition on the RWF Reunion weekend, I think it would be a fruitless exercise.
    Good Luck in your Quest.
