Two questions as I can’t remember first one did they give us full mags of 20 or was it just 10 rounds to ease the spring, 2nd one having seen A lot of pictures on the op banner site all the land rovers have doors yet for some reason I seem to remember ours not having any anyone put me right

I thought 2 x magazines of 20 (top 2 tracer). Discharge rounds on return to base and check, then replace in the other 2 magazines held.

Don’t remember that because it was only the baton gunner that would wear webbing to carry the rounds and I certainly didn’t carry a spare mag and the rounds were conventional certainly not tracers

Hi 20 if my memory serves me right 19 rounds in the mag you had two magazines colour coded by a paint spot on the base of the mag it was important to rotate the mags As for our Rovers yes all had doors it was a cold tour I can remember going down Ship Quay Street sideways thinking Oh F**k.The only stripped down rovers belonged to Int/Cop sections
