    New Years honours list

Of course these people are notified in advance of being awarded these honour’s so the simple way of avoiding mistakes like this is to turn down the award therefore the private details will not be published but no they will not do that so live with it **** happens

The online publication of more than 1,000 addresses of New Year Honours recipients has been branded a "complete disaster" by ex-Tory leader Iain Duncan Smith.

The former cabinet minister, who was knighted, told the Sunday Times that "very serious questions" needed to be asked about how the addresses were published online.
Sir Iain said that is it particularly concerning for private citizens, such as "those who have been involved in policing or counter-terrorism or other such sensitive cases".

Well Jones 20, you are correct in saying all they have to do is refuse but unfortunately you have not taken into account these people's egos. They would sooner have the fame than refuse the medal, then expect the tax payer to provide security for them. ( plus they have little or no knowledge or care of the risks that those who are assigned to protect them take nor the mental strain both on themselves and their families ). As you say mistakes are made and **** happens deal with it yourselves and do not depends on others to do that for you.
