    Bloody French

FRANCE VOWS TO SCRAP ENGLISH AS EU’S MAIN LANGUAGE IN PETTY POST-BREXIT SEND OFF FOR BRITAIN

look on the bright side all they have to learn in French is

    1. “I surrender”
    2. ‘“retreat”

please feel free to add further phrases
They have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind

    Re: Bloody French

We were on hols in Normandy about 20 years ago. Met a lovely English family who were revisiting with "Granddad", his steps during the WW2.

Grandad never really had much to say but was contented.

One night a little gathering, a lot of laughter, a few beers etc.
Then suddenly, the French manager of the camp ground stormed over.
Abusive, shouting, throwing plastic chairs (oh yes. throwing), shouting at us to be quiet...we were gobsmacked because it was just laughter and joking.

The French dude then said... "If you don't shut-up I will make you leave"

When non-verbal Granddad calmly said ...

Bit of a difference from what you lot said in 1944 innit, mate!!

    Best come-back, ever!!

the little manager left, kind of deflated. Mumbling at us to be quieter:)
