Army may lose up 12000 men in cuts
Defence minister Tobias Ellwood is prepared to resign if massive cuts to the Army are given the go-ahead, according to a report.
The cuts would see the Army lose 12,000 soldiers, leaving its full-time strength at just 70,000.
maybe MPs should consider a cut to their numbers to save some money as well then,it just seems to be that every service in the U.K. are making cuts yet MPs sit in their ivory tower drinking eating travelling at our expense and yet they get away untouched

If they scrapped the House of Lords, what could be saved would more than cover the 12.000, and also even cover the cost of a Tank or two!

Currently, there are about 800 members who are eligible to take part in the work of the House of Lords. They get £300 a day just for turning up I know they don’t all show up but if they did 800*300=240k a day £1.25 million pound a week what a saving that would make.

Yes, former Defence Chiefs have already stated a couple of weeks ago that all 3 services are close to being unfit for purpose, through manpower , logistics and equipment.
