    Chancellor in Argentina

So Phillip Hammond has gone to Argentina to discuss trade deals so does that mean we are now ready to give back the falklands to them. The islanders must be tearing their hair out

Don’t think the Islanders would have it, they would probably have a go at independence first, also there probably would be some sort of Public backlash in the Uk as we lost too many good lads when we were down there.

Although by way of a caveat, government seems to forget the sacrifices made when it comes to trade and fat cats making money.

Well whilst Thatcher was rallying the troops, other members of the party together with their city brethren were supplying gas turbine engines and spares to Argentina for their navy, together with small arms ammunition. When this came to light, if I remember correctly the reasons give was the companies involved were under contract to supply.

I do seem to remember that once we got into the Argy positions we found a few Racal [Now Defunct] radio systems, some one was making a few bob in the City, 'Gits'.
