Tercentenary coffee mug

A workmate of mine has found a royal Welch coffee mug for the tercentenary of the rwf it has a rampant dragon on one side and a flash on the other he would like to know a bit more about it! Under the flash it's got 16th March 1989. Any help would be great I e were they issued to all ranks, or is it a part of a set?

they were not issued just a purchase item, like a number of things. The date is the exact date of the 300th year of the formation of the regiment 16th March 1689.

I had one think it was one of a number of items that were for sale i.e. Flash whiskey.

RWF memobillria is very hard to come by these days especially 300 years tri- centenary its a matter of looking on ebay I sorry.

My mate has asked me to put the coffee mug on eBay for him but with a reserve of £50 .i don't know if this is to much?
