The End of an Era. The Blewitts

It's the end of an era tomorrow 3rd Feb 2016. Lt Col Gary Blewitt finally retires from the British Army after 39yrs service with The Royal Welch Fusiliers and The Royal Welsh. His father, the late Capt Roy Blewitt MBE also served with the regiment from 1948 until the 1980's, indeed they served together. The day after tomorrow will be the first day since 1948 without a Blewitt on the regimental nominal roll.

    Enjoy your military retirement Sir.
