Tidworth, most desirable place to live in England?
Noticed Tidworth named as most desirable place to live in England. Must have improved since 1975 and 1994, or maybe 1 RWELSH being there is the reason - they obviously behave themselves in the Drummer!

Totally agree. What did we ever do wrong to be posted there twice.

The committee must have been made up from people from Sennybridge , Otterburn, Emmerdale and outer Mongolia! The only good thing about the place was that it was close to the M4 and home. So many good lads left in the early seventies because all they could see were tours back and forth to NI with the odd "carrot" visit to Cyprus Belize and Jamaica. No good memories for me.
If I can help somebody as I pass along, my living will not be in vain.

If England was given an enema, Tidworth's where they'd put the tube!

I have to add that it was Lloyds Bank in Tidworth which turned me off Lloyds Bank for life!

Good point Gwyn. If I remember correctly some of those carrots to Jamaica and Cyprus were only for 1 Company anyway. No good memories for me either.
