Good afternoon all.
I am not sure if you are aware, but RA Jones who was an ex 3 Bn member and alsodid 30 years with the 4th Cdt Bn The RWF has gone missing, I know he was not 1st Bn but he has done enough time proudly wearing our Badge, I think it might warrant a mention.
He is now 73 and still enjoys a full active life, he does a lot of hill walking and can get up and down Snowdon 3 or 4 times while a normal person is completing it once.
He recently went on a walking holiday to Crete and went missing after 2 days there, unfortunately he was not reported missing until he missed his flight and did not arrive home. He has been missing since 19th June 2014, Roger Snaith who most of you will know is back there after a quick break back in Denbigh to recharge his batteries, we have managed to raise over £20,000.00 to keep a team of 9 lads from Denbigh over there helping the police with their search. I am not asking you for money, that is ongoing in Denbighshire, what I am asking you to do is to do a selfie on your mobile holding a card with "#FindArthur (place here where you are at the time i.e. Malaga) and place it on facebook, we are hoping that this will go viral on facebook, and maybe someone who was there or on the plane or at airport remembers him and will get in touch. I know a lot of you who ever served with the TA's may know RA and even those who do not can take 5 mins to do this, it does not matter where you are or how many times you do it in a different place, but I know his children and grandchildren will be very grateful for your help. If anyone wants a missing poster, send me a pm with your email address and I will send it to you.
Arthur is a staunch and loyal member of the Denbigh and District Branch RWFCA and your sentiments and statement is welcome by all branch members, as will be I am sure by his family members. Well done Martin.
I have been asked by Martin to upload the attached poster for those that want to print it off or distribute it.
Messages to help find the retired scaffolder have come from as far as Hong Kong, Australia, America and Turkey
The search is still on to try and find the 73-year-old from Denbigh who has not been seen since Thursday June 19, two days after he arrived in the resort of Chania.
