Does anybody remember serving with the above, Ken served with the Bn up to the late 50's and he is now in his late 7o's, Ken was a very keen boxer and represented the Bn boxing team. his family have asked if anybody has any history of him.

If its the same man John, he gets a mention Regi records Vol 6 page 251, as a member of the 1RWF boxing team in Cyprus during the EOKA period, which lost 6-5 to 29 Reg RA in the islands final in 1959….Spelt "Rogers" !! So may not be the same guy…But the boxing angle is tempting.

Ive emailed Richard Ward to see if he appears on any medal rolls etc

Re your search for Rodgers. I have had a search on my truncated R W F list of men who served in Malaya I came across one only RHYS ROGERS and the date showing is 1953 and not the dates he joined the battalion and subsequently left Malaya, this is not our man. I reckon I have found the man you are looking for. I think it may be a good idea to send me a P M. I can then send you a contact number and it is KEN RODGERS and he also served in Malaya.
