Royal Welch Fusiliers Comrades' Association sponsorship to the Forum?
Sorry to be a "hand grenade in the ammo dump" again, but it was agreed by the executive committee that the RWFCA would sponsor the Royal Welch Forum but the RWFCA seem to be a organisation in the background no dis respect to the forum or its members but should not the RWFCA be at the for front.
Yours a dedicated member of both the RWFCA and the Royal Welch Forum.

What is it that you think is lacking at the moment Ben?

Hi Al mate,
Me personally doesn't think that the forum is lacking anything its just a question that was asked by one of our branch members, which I enlightened (who is not a forum member) about how much hard work that you and the team put into the forum and how the forum is more active with the RWFCA now. I think he might wanted the RWFCA to be more highlighted.
I have told him that I would pass his concerns on.
Keep up the good work
Yours

PS
Al if you would please retract this this thread?

Why do you feel this thread needs to be taken down? Nothing wrong with the question.

Keith
I personally feel that it undermines the forum webmasters hard work that they do on the forum and I would not like to get into a debate about the said thread on behalf of a non member of the forum.

OK Ben, as you wish, you have as much right to take down a thread that you put up, as you have to put it up in the first place. Just didn't want you to feel bad about it. Certainly didn't offend me and, from lack of responses, appears that nobody else was offended either!

Hi Benny, there is nothing wrong with your thread. As you are aware, I was also at the Executive Committee meeting when the RWFCA Chairman announced financially supporting this forum. During after meeting conversation about the forum, in my Forum Manager capacity, I was assured that the RWFCA have no intention of getting involved in the running of the forum - all that was suggested was an area on the forum, possibly a sub-forum, where RWFCA matters and events plus Branch location details and recruiting literature could be accessed. See you at the Sec's meeting on 7th May!

Benny, you were right to raise your member's concerns regarding the visibility of the RWFCA on the forum; hopefully, we can allay those concerns.
As Gerry has pointed out, the Trustees have stressed that they have no desire to interfere with the independence of the Forum apart from ensuring that the rules and structure promote comradeship, which apart from a few minor tweaks is how it is now.
I am sure you will have noticed that we have moved the RWFCA Forum from the Communities/Social Groups into its own Group, RWF Comrades Association. We have also added a sub forum for each branch so that secretaries can publish notices, events, information etc for their branch members. If any secretary feels a need to have a further child forum, they just have to submit that request to any admin/moderator.
A link to the joining the RWFCA (application form) is also being shown in the Right-hand side bar.
