Hello Benny,
To the best of my knowledge at present we do not have a curator. I can have a look later as I am busy right now. But I fully expect you will get a definitive answer asap.

I should know the answer to this. But did OR's wear The Flash in the Great War. Something makes me think it was just officers? I stand to be corrected.

Hiya Benny, I tried the Regimental Museum at Caernarfon in January but they told me their curator had retired and a new one hadn't been appointed yet.
Thanks for this Blairy ! Much appreciated. I'm having the most trouble finding the right material. I was tempted to liberate a flash from a more modern RWF uniform but sill can't find out if the material or size has changed since 1914/1915
I have a photo of five OR's standing with their backs to inter regiment ooti match from the period and they all indeed have the Flash on their backs. I think the Commissioned Flashes may have just been fancier.
I have 3 flashes, one WWII and two earlier examples, one circa WWI and the other earlier, late Victorian or thereabouts.
Starting with the newest and working backwards they are in inches, 9 x 2 (WWII), 8 x 2 &1/2 (circa WWI) and 10 x 3 (Victorian). I can supply pics if needed, though this is an older thread and probably far too late to be of any use.
