Helping the French
I looked on with amusement last night watching the news with the headline we are going to supply aid to the French I only mention this because I remember last year the French saying that when we come to share the new aircraft carrier in the years to come that if the UK got involved in something and it was the turn of the French to man the carrier they would not let us have access to it if they did'nt agree with it.Once again it seems we are going to be dragged into something that does not concern us just hope that the pratt in charge of us (i.e the PM) is making sure that we are charging the going rate for the hire of the planes and staff

Re: Helping the French
Its the old boy net work in the army we have the messes where we strike deals, Like a shovel or a couple of pouches for the CQMSs or a couple of guys to help out with CSMs, Offiers offer a platoon here and there, but the big boys toys are much bigger that they offer up and to keep in with the European top table that fool at No 10 has sent in the RAF, What has he got us, nothing I guess, but be sure once Davids finished at No 10 he will have a nice little earner in Europe that's for sure
But we can be thankful no ground forces have been sent

Re: Helping the French
Not yet Barry. The French pull out of Afghanistan early and start their own little shindig in a part of their old empire. The good old US of A will remember the last time the French tried to stick their noses into another countries affairs. They will be more than happy to let any war mongerer to do the job for them. Lets not go there eh!

I was thinking the same Dave when they came out and said we will not be putting any boots on the ground and then the pratt goes ahead and does it.Someone once said to me "how do you know if a politician is lying" Ans: they lips are moving. And all this within a week of informing 8000 personal they are losing their jobs.Just great!!!!!!!!

Re: Helping the French
Cameron needs the French to back him in his Euro quest - small price (to him and his cronies) to pay for that support.
