    Len Smith MBE (Aberystwyth)

It is with deep sadness that I have to report the passing of Len Smith on Monday night. Len has been unwell for some time with cancer and what is perhaps doubly saddening that his wife Bronwen was also taken by this disease just before Christmas. Len has been involved with the TA and Cadet Association most of his life and his passing will be a great loss to many including his lovely family.
The funeral service will take place at Aberystwyth Crematorium on Tuesday 22nd February at 1415hrs. I'm led to believe that there are already a fair number of former colleagues of Len attending so I would suggest you arrive at the Crematorium in plenty of time.

Len's passing away will be a shock to a alot of people, personally he taught me a great deal when I was a young Corporal in Aberystwyth,he had great imagination with regard to training and gave an immense amount of time to the military and to society in general,a true legend,
