Re: Any one know him ?
I last saw my father in 1946, in 2007 I tried to trace him to find out if he had died etc, I did find his grave and seven half brothers in 2008.
May I suggest you try doing what I did start at the beginning ie your birth certificate and follow the trail from your birth, a birth certificate can give you a lot of information such as fathers details and normaly if you were born whilst your father was serving as it sounds he did it should have his rank and name and number which is a very good starting point as it will help members of the forum to remember your father.
If you want a copy of a birth death or marriage certificate you can obtain them from the Registrar Generals offce as long as you can give name and dates, you can do it on line and it is not too expensive and very easy.
Hope this helps and the best of luck.
Joe.

Re: Any one know him ?
If he was an RP in Derry he would have been with Tom Sal the Prov Sgt at that time. Perhaps some Forum members "visited" the guard room in the early 70's and were taken to the cookhouse by Molly, however, they may be a little shy to tell their stories. A photo is the way to go, perhaps someone from the UK will let you send the photos to them so that they can upload them for you. If that fails then you can send them to me in Canada.
Good luck

I think Frank Dolan is your best bet, he still lives in Wrexham and is a forum member allthouge he has not been on for a few weeks, maybe someone at RHQ Wrexham could make contact with him and pass on your query, I will gladly upload and return any photos you wish to post. P.M. me.
