If my memory serves me right, we used to get 5 days R & R on 4 month tours of operational service and this went up to 10 days R & R for 6 month tours of duty. I was wondering how much R & R the guys get for 6 month tours of duty today in Afghan etc? I hope it is more as they certainly deserve it.

I wasn't aware you did any 6 month operational tours. lol. Are you sure you were not always on rear party, bank rolling all the bars?

Nasher you owe me a few days then, because when we were in Derry during op cara cara, you only gave me two days and they had to be spent in Ballykelly Camp.

it took me that long mate because, it takes you ages to come back to me with the answer to reunions. and then takes you longer to come to one.

Mac, I remember coming back from our R n R in Belfast 81, You could'nt get any more cans of Bow and Clarks pies in my bag. The same tour that Nasher had all his teeth out. Lots of pain if i remember rightly.
