How do I find information about my Father

    Hello everyone

My Father was in The Royal Welsh Fusiliers during the 2nd World War,every time we asked him about it he would not talk about it,he died a number of years ago,I have posted on a number of sites to try and find out who to contact but to no avail, can anyone tell me who I should address my enquiries to,to find out his details it is not just his military record the information would help me find out about his extended family any help would be most appreciated.

Hi my father was also in the RWF he was posted to Egypt / Sudan before the second WW .He was taken prisoner at Mervil in France he spent some time in stalag xxa.If you want to find out about your father write to Historical Disclosures Ketigen House Glasgow(best to check address on web) providing you have his name and service number you should find out a fair bit.It does cost around £25/£30 but well worth it.My dad never said much about the war either I think its something hard for for civilians to know what combat is like even when you see it on the news.Good luck with your research Mark
