Keith (Curly) Cluer
Its with great regret that I have to inform the forum of yet another sad loss of a former drummer Kieth (Curly) Cluer. Curly Sadly passes away in Spain where he was living and his funeral will take place in Spain.
However there will be a memorial Service taking place in Denbeigh, time and dates not known as yet, but will be posted as soon as I know anything.
My condolences go to Curly's family at this very sad time.

Re: Kieth (Curly) Clewer
Sad to hear that. Curly was a legend amongst us young Lemgo Fusiliers.
It would be appreciated if Curlys Spanish funeral details could be identified. I know of at least one person who may fly out, if the timings are favourable.

Re: Kieth (Curly) Clewer
I take it this is Keith Cluer, Battalion boxer extraordinaire and MT Platoon amongst others. I will always remember Keith as a good friend and a great individual.
The news was, and still is, absolutely shocking. He will be greatly missed as we are left behind to puzzle out the reasons that such a life could be so tragically cut short. We express our condolences to his family and friends.
Please use the forum to share your memories of this unique and irrepressible individual.

Re: Kieth (Curly) Clewer
We Enhance Bob's words, Keith was a true Royal Welch Fusilier who mentored myself and many Fusiliers through Battalion life.
I personally send my condolences to Keith's family, friends and comrades, a characteristic person that will be sadly missed by all that knew him.
Also, All members of the Shotton & Deeside Branch RWFCA send their condolences to the family.

Re: Kieth (Curly) Clewer
I agree with all that has been said about Keith. He was a very good friend to me on the 'Bobby Sands' tour of Belfast, where we were working shifts except on Fri ni when off to HQ. It was a lost to the Bn when we left Lemgo and he stayed with the RRW.

Re: Keith (Curly) Cluer
A very sad day. Keith, Betty and their daughter Carys (that's her name - my wife assures me) were our neighbours in Mill Path, Eglinton during the 1971 Londonderry tour and were good people to know. Our hearts go out to his family.

Re: Keith (Curly) Cluer
Curly was in B Coy in Hong Kong and was an excellant footballer, for some reason I was the put in charge of the company football team and Curly was the head coach and team captain, we never won a game but we always had a good post match debrief in a local bar.
A great man to know and as fit as a fiddle, he will be sadly missed.
My condolences to his family and friends.
Joe.
