On parade Pnr Sgt, Drum Major and 1st Bn Bandmaster

On looking through the forum and reading the articles relating to Paul Goodwin, got me looking through some my old photos / prints which included the one that I have just listed. It shows left to right in full Regimental, Ceremonial order, myself, Pnr Sgt, Drum Major Scotty Blair and 1st Bn RWF Bandmaster Paul Goodwin

A copy of this print is also among the many prints mounted on the walls of the WO’ & Sgts Mess and was taken in the 90’s exact date I am not sure, the picture was take by Al Lowery, the Battalion were on parade in the grounds of Cyfarhfa Castle and marched through the streets of Merthyr Tydfil and this I believe was also the last time that all three 1st Bn RWF, Regimental, Ceremonial personal the Pnr Sgt, Drum and the 1st Bn RWF Bandmaster were on parade together before the Bn Band were merged into a divisional band. But please feel free to correct me if my details are incorrect and also if anyone has the correct date for this parade, again feel free to add it.

Dai Excellent photo juat reminded me what scotty Blair looked like. Any news on him these days. last time i heard he was a gas reader round the Valleys,

Hi Darren,

The last I saw of Scotty was some time back around 2000 he was working with the gas company and still living at the same address, the drums platoon have a reunion coming up shortly he may show his face there. Steve Gauvain or Dai Beer may know what he is up to nowadays

That photo reminded me how short Scottie was. look how short he would of been had he been on the same step as Dai and Paul.
never mind Scottie what you lost in hight you've made up for in width knower days look forward to seeing you again in Feb.
