    Re: Skaife Cup

In case anyone is wondering the team photo reads as follows; (feel free to correct any errors!)

Back Row(L-R) Dexter Pickett, Mark Adams MM, Tegs 55, The 'slim' Scouse 75!!, Gareth Inckledon-Pay corps, Colin Brooks-Reme, Mike Carey, Keith Simmonds, LT Rickard, Matt 95 (MT), Tim Grubb, Tom 43, Den Braham.

    Front row(L-R)

Tom?, Paul Roffi, Danny Giles, Robbo 84, Simon Honor, Viv 08, Rocky 91, Tom 84, oops forgot?, Don Butts.

Tim Grubb and Keith would like to say, they wanted to attend Comrades weekend but unfortunately all livestock had restricted movement due to foot and mouth!!!

And Rob 33 was missing, prob with the Kladow 7! (no, its not a rugby competition!!)

    Re: Skaife Cup

    My question is?
Does the Bn still play for the Saife Cup, once again due to Operational commitments, or is Capt Colin Jones MBE still running the so called "GOD SQUAD"? once again I leave this to an open to debate?

Not sure Benny Im sure the Lads still in will advise us. As for the 'God squad' tag, I played football in Berlin. That is, until one day, I had to clear the pitch of snow for the 'God Squad' to play a game on!! Since then I thought, sod this. And took up Rugby!!

    Scouse

Half a story there M8, If I remember correctly the pitch we cleared was not good enough, so had to clear the lines on a 2nd pitch.

Can't remember if that was the 1st or 2nd tour of Tern Hill, 1st I think, when Swilly willy the sewer man was cutting (shaving.chopping) hair after a spell in nick an a good beasting (Sorry corrective training,) lol

Did they not use the excuse of a snowman building competition in the Ternhill one?

    Re: Skaife Cup

If i`m not mistaken (don`t quote me), the mini God Squad (2nds) may have been 1st 2 play a team from the East. I was scrum half, Cecil no 10 +Tegs 55 also played, sorry 2 all the others - memory a bit sad. Anyone who remembers please post. We hammered them by the way.
