Mogs.
Bryn returned my call Saturday,I had spoken with his daughter, previously.
He apparently was taken back into hospital due to his pain, reckons he suffered from Diverticulitious???? Must look that one up,plus the spelling.
Anyway rang me Saturday, sounded chirpy, had a bit of a rough time, but reckons he is on the mend.
Has to go back into dock for further tests, under anaesthetic?? But,all being well will see the lads at Wrexham at the end of the Month.
Dai hasn,t access to the internet, but he tells me his daughter has.
I told him to get logged on with her and see how mant comrades have been asking about him..
All the best to him anyway and hope to see him at the reunion.

Was with Bryn 25 on Friday last at Hughie Owen's funeral, he was perky as hell and is on the mend. He asked me to pass on his thanks for all the Forum members and Comrades, friends who sent him get well messages he was overwhelmed with it all. If all being well hopes to see everyone at the Band reunion and Comrades dinner at the end of the month.
Once Many Thanks to all.

Hiya Mogs.
Logged on only couple of years ago myself,so,sorry to say, after 40 odd years was shocked to learn that, lads, can I say, younger than me, had passed on,including H.
Can,t find out much about his last days. rumours say he was into drugs, but he was only a young lad.
Marvellous euphonium player,what a waste.
Lost track with so many comrades.BUT remember Brynn, met him after 40 years last year at my FIRST REUNION,GREAT BLOKE,GREAT VOICE,had a sing with him.
Hope to see him this year.
Take care bud.All the best.
Hi,
was big H Leonard W Harries? He was a euphonium player in the band and did a stint as band master. He left the army in 1982. He then worked as a brass band conductor of bands such as Parc and Dare (Treorchy) and Lewis Merthyr (Porth). I believe he died August 2003 from a brain heamerage.
I believe he is the man on the left in the photo. I also have a photo of the band.

Diverticulitis - my Mrs used to suffer from this. 'Pouches' or polyps form in the rectal tubing from the stomach to the anal orifice and get infected - very painful (she tells me) and awfully uncomfortable (she tells me). Upside from male point of view 'it kept her very quiet for the time she had it'.
