SAS bans troops from using offensive nicknames such as 'Doris, Ruperts and crabs'
SAS members have been told to stop using nicknames such as "Doris" for female soldiers and "Ruperts" for officers.
Troops have also been told to stop referring to RAF members as "crabs", a nickname thought to have derived because their uniform colour is similar to the blue ointment once used to get rid of pubic lice.
According to The Mirror, the decision was made after an Intelligence Corps soldier complained about the nickname Green Slime, in reference to the Corps’ beret colour.
The soldier was reportedly left "humiliated" after he was asked if there was "anything from green slime?" at a briefing.
An insider told the newspaper that use of the terms was "playful name-calling" as a way of dealing with the "nasty stuff" they come into contact with at work.
The SAS member said troops had "more to worry about" than using nicknames.

You can see why this Intelligence Corps guy was in that Corps, obviously not up for serious Soldiering, he had probably been away from his Mum and 'teddy bear' too long.

Unfortunately it’s a sign of the times we live in,someone will alway take offence at something that’s been said

I take it back regarding my comments about the Intelligence Corps, the lads I have known from that Corps always did a good job and the Corps in general are probably all-round good soldiers, don’t know how this one slipped through the system.
Hope he is in the minority and is not a member of the possible expeditionary force that we have to send to face off Putin’s Motor Rifle brigades.
Surprised to see he was serving with or alongside SF.
Maybe I am being sexist, the above ‘He’ could be a ‘She’ I suppose? [careful what you say, WOKE police everywhere, "Walls have ears" as well as ice cream and sausages 🤣]
