Ex-human rights lawyer Phil Shiner facing fraud charges over Iraq War claims

Hopefully he will get his just desert’s,

Former human rights lawyer Phil Shiner is facing fraud charges linked to claims made against Iraq War veterans.
The 65-year-old boss of now-defunct Public Interest Lawyers (PIL) was struck off by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) in 2017 for pursuing false torture and murder allegations against British troops.
Mr Shiner is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Monday to face three counts of fraud following a five-year National Crime Agency (NCA) investigation.

Call me a cynic but I just hope and pray that the police officers involved in the investigation were/are better than the alleged toerags in Oldham!

That lawyer and any other like him should have all assets sequestrated and the funds go to support the victims that he targetted. No soldier, serving or in previous service, should be condemned for actions taken during their duty provided that they have followed convention.
