Being reported today that Britain has supplied the Ukraine Defence Forces with 2,000 of our latest anti tank weapons, plus undisclosed number of trainers.

A good Swedish weapon made by SAAB. Hope they won’t have to use it though.

Nice to see that NATO stands together the German forbid the RAF flights from using their air space to fly them in

    Re: Ukraine

Well remembering the briefings on Russian forces when I was in West Germany,( Which I admit is some time ago) it would not surprise me if Spetsnaz units have alreasdy been implanted into the Ukraine.
I really do have a fear that should the situation go noisy our militery advisers/trainers will be out on a limb and this government do not have a plan to either (a) support them, or (b) get them out of the country.
There would appear to be some discord on how Nato deal with this when it would appear that Germany are edging their bets in refusing air space to the RAF., in delvering weapons to the Ukraine. Though given the lessons of history I can see why Germany would take this stance, as last time they certainly came off second best.

The Dutch are sending two (which in my opinion is two too many).

    Re: Ukraine

If we don’t stand up to Russia over Ukraine we are down the drain in Europe. They have already blackmailed Germany out from the field.

We have reinforced Gotland, which is our responsibility to do. Some other preparatory decisions before.

Just my wiew. I think Sweden and Finland should seek NATO membership ASAP.

Putin should not have his way over Ukraine!

    Re: Ukraine

[agree with what you say Lars we need to stand up to Russia but why the Royal we Uk may be part of NATO but the treaty says we have an agreement with other NATO countries to come to their aid if attacked the Ukraine ain’t part of NATO, and as the UK keeps getting told we are not part of Europe anymore either particularly by a certain French individual and as Macron has voiced on many occasions of his desire to have a European armed force well now’s his change let’s not forget the French kept supplying Exocets to the Argentine when we were retaking the Falklands so even aiding a fellow NATO country doesn’t come into it with them profit before honour. We have left too many of our people lying in graves in Europe so my opinion is it’s a European problem you sort it
