New Bank Scam
New Bank Scam
My sister is reporting this that the City of London Police Fraud team are warning about an extremely sophisticated scam being operated this week involving all banks. you get a message saying payment has not been taken from your account, e.g. o2, vodafone EE, etc ( deems to be mobile phone companies ) and to click on the message. This appears then to allow them into your account.
It is according to one bank the most advanced scam they have seen.
Thought I would post just in case it is being operated outside of London
Did post this on the Notice Board but I have posted over it so moved it to here so no one misses it

It may be sophisticated if anyone is stupid enough to go for it, but it's not a very sophisticated bit of persuasion! Never click on this sort of 5hite, if in doubt, and you shouldn't be, check statements on line or ask for one to be sent.
Working for yourself is great, not only can you work half days, you can choose which 12 hours!

Re: New Bank Scam
This one also about
Stark warnings about scammers impersonating the Royal Mail have been issued to those doing online Christmas shopping in the run up to Black Friday.
It comes after fraudulent emails were sent out encouraging people to pay a redelivery fee for an undelivered letter, The Mirror reports.
While the email, supposedly from the Royal Mail, only asks for a £1.99 fee, inputting bank details allows the scammers on the other end to draw out potentially huge sums of money from people's bank accounts.
Now experts are warning customers to be aware of the scam and others like it to avoid a nasty shock as people go online shopping on and around Black Friday, the busiest shopping day of the year, on November 27.
