Mayor of Bristol
Just saw this headline on google news
Bristol's mayor urges residents to give up spare rooms for asylum seekers so that they don't end up living on the streets
would be interesting to know if he’s leading by example

Fully agree with that sentiment, we have a raft of problems with homeless people which require more than just giving them a room.

See Gary (overpaid)Lineker put his tupence worth in yesterday regarding migrants crossing the channel then a Tory MP asked him for his address so he could send these people round and put them up on a B&B basis if he so worried about them, needless to say it wasn’t forthcoming

Saw this and thought before the likes of Gary Lineker and co start bitching about how we treat migrants maybe they ought to go and protest outside the Greek embassy first
Greece has been accused of sailing migrants out of its territory and leaving them to fend for themselves in motorless boats in the middle of the sea.
It’s been reported that at least 1,072 people were expelled from the country in this way since the coronavirus pandemic began.
The New York Times has uncovered 31 different incidents using evidence from multiple eye witnesses, the Turkish coast guard, and independent watchdogs.

Yet another EU member country not obeying EU rules! AND NOBODY COMPLAINS. Can you even imagine the furore from the Commission and the other 27 member states if we dumped migrants in boats in the middle of the North Sea.
