China POLL:
After terrifying arrest sparks fury, is it time for UK to challenge Beijing?
A man and woman have been arrested for flying a Hong Kong independence flag, becoming the first victims of China's new security laws in Hong Kong. Should the UK intervene?

Re: China!
There isn’t a lot we can do to stand up to China” over the Hong Kong issue other than strongly condemn Beijing for breaching a deal guaranteeing Hong Kong’s freedoms until 2047. I suspect, however, that China will brush aside other countries concerns over the law's impact on freedom of speech and judicial independence.
I know that the UK’s decision on residence for some Hong Kong people is welcome, though it doesn’t help the majority of Hongkongers.
