    Research Articles - Members Views

The Research Articles area has been funtioning for about 3 weeks. Bob and myself would be very keen to hear members views on it. At this point know one apart from the usual suspects(myself and Richard) have actually uploaded anything.

Are members actually going into the pages and looking around. Is it something that is not of interest.

Is the set up userfriendly or is it too complicated. Do you know where the research area is?

Whatever your views let us know please.

No sorry I dont know where the research area is, though I'd love a look. Have I been an ass and just not seen it or is it hidden?

If you are using the Easy Action style you will see the links to the research pages in the left-hand side navbar (menu), which looks like this.

If you are one of the eight members using the RWF Forum style, you won't see it

    Research Articles & Archives

Whether you are a military historian, family researcher, interested in genealogy or at the beginning of researching your ancestry, then these are the pages for you.

Here you will find Medal and Obituary Archives and articles from past editions of the Y Ddraig Goch. Advice is also given on how to trace your military ancestors and provides access to RWF research documents and Medal Index Cards

Stu, the RWF Forum style isn't going to disappear; however, I am not maintaining it. That is to say, when I add various components to the site I am only updating the Easy Action style. I would recommend that you start using it

If you scroll to the bottom of the main page. you will see

All you have to do is select the Easy Action [fluid] style from this menu and you will see several options not available in the RWF Forum style

Re: Research Articles - Members Views

    Hi Al and Bob,
Only since this thread have I looked at the RA&A section which is fantastic. There are so many things of interest there (to me anyway) and my only problem now is having the time to go through all the good stuff there. I may have to give up some time at the arcade to visit the RA&A section more often. It is only now that I have found out about the passing of Maj Tim Bible. A great bloke that was part of the rugby scene when I was in, always had a smile on his face.
Anyway I think this thread will encourage more people to visit this great part of the site. Unfortunately I do not have anything interesting to upload but I'm sure others have.
I hope my comments encourage many members to visit this area and see what good work you continue to do on this website.
    Cheers
    Dilwyn

If you scroll to the bottom of the main page, you will see this Box. Click the down-arrow and select Easy Action [fluid] from the options shown. If it is already showing that style, you aren't one of the eight! (You can even use this bellow to change the style)
