Hi to all Forum members, a request from a Mr D hughes from Ammford wants help to find a mate he did his National service with.
He was posted to Asmara Eritea from Feb 1951 until June 1952, he made friends with a Cyril Blackwell from Wrexham and would like too get intouch with him.
Sue from Wrexham RHQ passed the letter onto me today, so if any one knows cyril blackwell and has any information i am sure Mr D Hughes will be greatfull, cheers Val.

Thanks , but some more info on cyril blackwell is that his family were coal merchants in the local area, cheers Val.

A gentleman called Eddie Blackwell was a coal merchant in Rhos. He is now dead, my informant is not sure if he had any brothers. Eddies children are still living in the Johnstown area. One of the Eddies sons owns a petrol station on the way into Glyndyfrdwy, on the A5 past Llangollen give him a call he may be able to advise. The details are:
