Hi All
Has anyone got any info on the above 2 RWF men William Freeth name on Connahs Quay War Memorial and William Nutall name is on the Hawarden War Memorial.
The branch is going on Des's Normandy trip and I know that both are buried in Bannevelle Campgain Cemetary Bayern.
Want to know any close relatives living. William Freeth's Brother is a member of our branch but he wants to know how his brother died, medals etc. don't know anything on William Nutall only that his name is on Hawarden war memorial any close relatives details so we can ask them if we can lay a wreath on his grave, once again how he was killed, medals etc.
Yours Aye!

Both were killed on 17/7/1944 in the second battle of Evrecy. The 4th battalion had heavy casualties as they attacked against german machine guns.
