Madagascar - Col Bon Nouvelle on the 5-5-1942.

    Hi All,

I wondered if anybody could assist me. My father Frank Dadge was a sargeant with"D" Company 2nd Battalion RWF when a bayonet charge was put in at the Col Bon Nouvelle on the 5-5-1942. Michael George Harrison was Company Commander and Thomas Bonnell-Jones was 2nd Lieutenant both were unfortunately killed in the charge.

I would appreciate it if anyone had detailed information on what actually took place that day, details of the battle, photographs of the terrain, exact causalities,a map, what the bayonet charge achieved etc.

    Thank you Roy

Thank you for the information, I have the book but I was hoping to obtain a more detailed account, perhaps with a map and photograph of the defences attacked.
