I have received some sad news that Bill Bateman ex 2nd Bn RWF Malaya passed away on Friday morning. Bill was in intensive care after a bad fall and never recovered.
He is sadly missed by us all, and our thoughts go out to "Ronnie" his wife and family, Friends and fellow comrades at this time. May You RIP Bill.
Although Bill lived in Swansea he was a excellent member of our branch meeting up with fellow members when he and "Ronnie" could.

Bill funeral details are not know at this present time, details to follow.

Thursday 17th May 18 1230hrs Swansea Crematorium SA6 6BY. Ronnie (Bill's wife) has asked for as many standards and comrades as possible to attend. A bugler has been arranged.

Really sorry to hear that Benny, a lovely chap, he was really helpful when we were tracking down the families eligible for the QE Cross.
