Help Please
Help please any info on WO Samuel and Mary Lord do they still have family living in Wrexham we know the son David won the VC and DFC in 1944 at Arnhem the reason asking is the No2 Welsh Wing Air Training Corps is researching David and his family because of RAF 100?
Anything will be appreciated on Samuel and Mary.

Suggest you communicate directly with Bridge Books Wrexham, as Alister Williams the proprietor is also author of Heart of a Dragon,
the definitive 2-volume work on Welsh VC winners.

Benny, Have found reference on " The Aviation Forum ", to a Lt. Commander David Lord RN nephew of David Lord, however, the articles was dated 2014 and the event in question occurred in 1994 so given the time scale Lt. Commander Lord may no longer be alive.
Perhaps a better avenue would be to contact the Royal Air Forces Association Club, in Wrexham, they have on a regular basis held remembrance events for local RAF., war dead where relatives were invited to, maybe someone can point you in the right dirction

John Lord Still lives around Wrexham, I think he lived in Garden village at one time.
