    Such a tragic loss to the Denbigh and District Branch of the Association. Also to the Denbigh and District Branch the RBL. Colonel Phillips work was ceaseless with both these Branches. He will be such a Great loss to us all. RIP Welshb Warrior.

    Very sorry to hear of this, though I know his health had not been good of late. I had contact with him through his role with St.Asaph Diocese on buildings matters, and more recently on the editorial panel for the new RWF Regimental Records volumes.

    A gentleman, and he will be much missed. may he rest in peace.

    The funeral of Colonel Philip Eyton-Jones OStJ, TD, DL will be held at St Asaph Cathedral on Monday 27th November at 1130hrs followed by cremation at St Asaph crematorium at 1300hrs.

    Phillip along with his wife Doreen was also very involved with St Brigids School in Denbigh, there was a number of Girls from the Bn who went there as borders, including my three girls, a great man who will be sadly missed, condolences to Jane, Jim and the boys.

    There was a large attendance at the funeral service in St Asaph Cathedral. 8 standards were on parade, albeit showery, a bugler sounded from the 1st Battalion. Respect for a soldier/officer and individual were spoken by all present. A wake was held, after a private ceremony at the crematorium, at Brookhouse in Denbigh.
