Hello all,
I've been asked by an elderly lady friend to find a new home for this beautiful framed wool tapestry - photo attached.
It's in excellent condition and was made by a French prisoner of war. It also has a metal cap badge attached.
A little more of the provenance and history is known and details can be explained more fully on request.
We have been informed by various valuers and auctioneers that these normally fetch £80-£200.
Would anyone interested like to make a reasonable offer for it?
(especially as I think my friend could do with the funds!)
Collection/delivery would have to be arranged from Winkleigh, Devon, UK.
Thank you, I hope it finds an appreciative new owner and home!
Re: Pre WW1 Tapestry for sale - Royal Welch Fusiliers
The museum wouldn't purchase it. They have a number of those in the collection. Nice piece though. Good luck.

Maybe ebay is an alternative - you have posted here last year obviously with no response. Ebay will attract many more eyes.
Good luck if you try it!

I would also suggest posting the provenance. As a site we are always interested in hearing the stories, and you are more likely to obtain a buyer that way.
