High Town Barracks Wrexham
Being reported in Wrexham.com that Wrexham may lose the REME detachment based at High Town Barracks under the Army 2020 Refine Strategy as out lined by the Secretary of Defence 15.12.2016. This could mean that Wrexham's association of 400 hundred years with the military will come to an end.
Responses can be made to Army2020 refine @Wrexham.gove.uk.
Have tried this but puts you on the Wrexham Council Web Site and I cannot fined where to comment. This may be my lack of computer knowledge.

Report to day that the Minister of Defence in reply to a question raised by the Wrexham M.P., with regards to the future of the barracks, has stated that there is no intention in the foreseeable future for the closure and will continue as a Reserve and Cadet Centre.

Yes I was thinking that when I read the minister's reply. Much like a football club's chairman giving the manager a vote of confidence when the team are facing relegation, you know it will end in tears.
