    Death of Phillip WILLIAMS

    DEATH OF PHILLIP WILLIAMS (08)

Information of the death of Phillip Williams from Denbigh who was 63 years of age has been received by RHQ Wrexham from his daughter Angela. He served with 1 RWF from 1971, and married a Northern Ireland girl, his last two was 08 and was a Lcpl. Born 5th May 1953.

He is being cremated on Tuesday 10th January 2017 at St Asaph Crematorium, 1100 hours. The family have asked for the coffin to be draped, beret, hackle etc. (This has been arranged by RHQ).

It would be nice if as many comrades as possible could attend. Standards have not yet been asked for but the Denbigh and District standard will be present, if required.

    Re: Death of Phillip WILLIAMS

Phil, was ex Welsh Guards, not RWF. His daughter has made a mistake. Phil used to do the Poppies with me and he was always tellig me about Berlin etc as they were there the same time as us, RRW. He also told me that he was Regimental Cook. All the rest of the info is correct, he was married to a N Irish woman but they split up. He had lived on his own for quite a few years. At one time he was an instructor with the Cadets here in Denbigh. Phil hails from Ruthin but came here as this is where they gave them a council house when he was Demobbed. I have rung a Welsh Guards lad who I know and he is going to ring me back when he gets the details off them.. Braz
