    My Dear Colin,
Dear “Bill Street” and many others of our dear Comrades have passed on from the time spent together with the 1st Bn RWF many years back. Give Barney Jones 57 a ring, 01803326337 he will up-date you.

Thank you, I managed to find the list of bereavements after I posted the query. There were so many names of those I knew including officers like Peter Bruxner Randall and Warren Whitaker that I realised how old I've become. Tell me, there used to be a thread for the League of Friends but I can't find it now. Does it still exist or has the League been disbanded.

    Lash,

Information in regard to the LOFs can be found under Reunions. There is also a LOFs' Group, which can be found here: http://rwf-forum.co.uk/vBulletin/group.php?groupid=4

I served in Jamaica in Bill Street's Pioneer Platoon and the three inch mortar platoon. If you were discharged in 1954 it was probably from Chiseldon camp near Swindon. Do you remember training at Moneague for the landing at British Guiana and the journey down on HMS Superb and the frigates Burghead Bay and Bigbury Bay? The RN brought us back to Jamaica on the aircraft carrier HMS Implacable after relief by the Argylles.
