Andrew Thomas Jones,Fusilier,14409728 Royal Welch Fusiliers D.od.: 8/02/2016. WWII, Burma,India, Japan.
Fought in the battle of Kohima, seriously wounded, sent back to India to recover then returned back to action in Burma transporting ammunition to the front and bringing back the wounded by mule, then as part of the army of occupation in Japan.

His funeral takes place on 23/2/2016 at 10.am Allerton Crematorium (Springwood) Rosemary Chapel in Liverpool Merseyside.

Apologies for short notice - the family would be really grateful if any ex service personnel or those passionate about the military could attend, with particular reference to those who have served with the Royal Welch Fusiliers or those linked with Burma in any way. There are only a handful of people at present expect to attend at present and the week prior to his death, Fusilier Jones had expressed his hopes for a good send off.

If there are any Legion or Military Standard Bearers available to attend with Standards this would also be very much appreciated too.
