Nice one Pete. The Discount Card is excellent. - Austin Reed, give you 20% on all purchases, including sale items.

I'm using the card more and more these days.

If you've not got the discount card, it is worth applying. The cost is £4, you email them your red book page, you get the card a few days later. The website, shows the 100's of companies that have signed up to the scheme. It also allows you to purchase from these companies online, or in-store. I was sceptical at first, but it is turning into a really good benefit for veterans and their families. Blacks, Millets, Cotswold…15%….Austin Reed 20% and on and on. Money to be saved.

just had a look through Keith, I think your Mil pension statement will be suitable as proof of service.

    Re: Military Benefits

    Good evening all,

I asked P&O to confirm who was eligible for the Benefits.
Well, just had a phone call from the offices of Mr Christopher Edgington, boss man.

The lady explained that unlike other cruise lines who have restricted their Military Benefitsto Military personnel only they wanted to expand it to the whole military family.

Therefore they included the Military Discount Card. What that means is:

A spouse going on a cruise without their military partner can claim the benefit, widow/widower of military person can claim the benefit and they also wanted to recognise the hard work that civilians do inside the MOD in any capacity when they support the military. However, to claim they must hold the appropriate Military Discount Card.

I am glad I enquired and foronce it seems they are going that one step further.

If you are a Military Person, serving, ex, reserve, spouse of, widow/widower of military person, or MOD worker and you do not have a card then apply.
