    National Archives

Sorry in advance if this is inappropriate and Admin please delete if so.

I'm at the National Archives in London all next week and feel free to drop me a message if you'd like any files or war diaries copying whilst I'm there. In short I charge 10p per page to copy any complete file.

    Cheers
    Andy

Is it likely you could find an award citation for a MM to Charles Sharp MM #17279 RFA gazetted in the London Gazette 19/03/1918? It would be great to find out what the award was given for.

I can do WW2 citations for free but I believe WW1 citations don't exist (happy to be proven wrong). I'm guessing you don't know what regiment of the Royal Field Artillery he was in?

As you guess Drew, I do not have his regiment. I have a copy MIC and medal rolls for him, also the LG pages printed out but none appear to list his unit.

WW1 soldiers are so hard to research which is why I tend to steer clear. I know very little about my own grandfathers service during WW1.
