!! Help to confirm RWF Photo needed
Hello
I'm trying to research my maternal Grandfathers World War two service, I am unfortunately starting with little or no information apart from his name which was Jim 'Lofty' Stillman. It is my belief he served with the RWF, certainly in Poona and I have an old photo of him in No2 dress. Would anyone like a shot at confirming the uniform is of the RWF's? It would be a great starting point for me. If you are able to rise to the challenge please contact me and I will send the photo.
Thanking you in anticipation
With my kind regards
Pete

Re: !! Help to confirm RWF Photo needed
Welcome Pete,
He doesn't appear in the Tyler enlistment records, which cover the 1920's and through WW2. I wonder if he transferred in. Also he doesn't appear in Vol 6 Reg Records, so possibly no Post WW2 service in the RWF….I say possibly, because the lists/nominal roles are not complete.
Look forward to seeing the picture.
