Abbreviations on a Statement of Service

    Hello RWF Forum,

Can anyone interpret a notation on the WW1 Service Statement of F.W. Smith #4324? In very small handwriting is written:

    "Transferred to 23rd Btn, RWF 9/6/17...(illegible word)...C.R.W.C. No.2/10518/3. F.(A) d/30.5.17...followed by Private 9 June 1916"

I understand that the 23rd Btn (T.F.) was in Bacton, Norfolk in June 1917 but what does the rest mean?

    Thanks, Ann

Very likely the reference to the order on which his posting was based, Ann. Could the illegible word be 'Authy' [authority]?
