's-Hertogenbosch
Hi,
Can anyone help me, next week I am returning to Den Bosch, my father was HLI but many friends I meet were Welch Regiments. Two sons of a Liberator are visiting for the first time and I would like to show them the area that their father fought over. Their father was RWF and I do not know where they started from or which side of the city they attacked.
Can anyone help please?
Sincerely, Cooper

Fellow member Swiper is the man for that. I'll ask him.

Re: 's-Hertogenbosch
It would be interesting to hear who their father was? There might be some small snippets of information available.
Thanks

Re: 's-Hertogenbosch
I'd say that Nick is the chap (currently - ;) ) on Den Bosch, I've been up to my neck in editing Normandy material for 53 Div.
I take it your father was in 1 Highland Light Infantry, do you have any other information on his role/experiences (I often find this can tie things down better). It is a pity you've left it so late but I recommend buying CN Barclay's History, Patrick Delaforce's Red Crown and Dragon and the Dutch book 'Den Bosch' for starters.
1 HLI material is quite sparse, I recently had a great interview with a surviving member of 1 HLI which was very informative, as well as D Company's War Diary - but I have ended up 'leaving' Den Bosch for the next project somewhat.

Re: 's-Hertogenbosch
Hi Swiper,
I know where my father fought as HLI we visited regularly and I know the exact route he fought over. It was the RWFF route I wanted.
Thanks for any help
