Hello,
I served in the 1st in Jamaica. I also trained "Basher" Bolton as he was known, during this period. I lost all track of "Basher" after I left the army. "Basher was from Cardiff. I also believe he reached the rank of W O 2. It must have been approximately 1952 when "Basher" was in training in Wrexham. The name Pullen is familiar also but the one I knew came from the S W B's he was a corporal in Dering lines in late 1950. Hope you get more info.
Regards R B D

I'm 99% sure Basher Bolton's widow and son turned up to the reunion last year at Wrexham. I can recall chatting to the son in The Fusilier, he had also been in the army….

Have a look at the gallery index Debbie. Lots of pictures from 1960's/early 70's. If you see anyone you know. Name them in the comment box below each picture:

Hello Al,
A good photo of Basher. I did hear some thing about Basher taking over a pub in Brecon??? The Goat Major taken in 1954 and the one taken in 1953 /54 shows Jack Shone as G/ Major. Interesting you mention Basher's son I have never met up with him.Good to see these photos none the less.
Regards Don
