Lost-KEITH ROBERTS-where Is He

Ok, this is one for the Strabane "Old Sweats"

A lady from Wrexham called Roslyn, who I spoke to today on the phone, is trying to trace her older brother Keith Roberts. Keith left the family home(Brynteg Wrexham) in the early 70's and joined the regiment in about 1972 aged approx 18yrs old. Ros was a small child at the time and has little recollection of him, and it would mean a lot if she could trace him.

Her family believes Keith was based(for a period) at Strabane. He is about 6ft tall and had a distinctive tatto on his left arm(Betty Boo leaning on a lampost). Its possible that he may have settled in South Wales after he left the army. I have suggested that she should check www.192.com

Re Strabane we only had a pig to sleep in ...in first part of 72...only a section strong..then late in 72 they made it platoon strenght.that's how it stayed while we were in ireland.. the BN base was ebrington barracks in londonderry..& only did tours of duty in strabane..was his last two 41 ..???

The photo supplied by the family had Strabane written on the back....We can safely say he was based in Ebrington.

Unfortunately the family do not know his army number.

I'm sure one of our members must recognise him, although I appreciate it was a long time ago...

If anyone does know this guy, we would obviously respect his privacy, if he does not wish to have any contact, but I think the family would want to know that he is ok.

ref KEITH ROBERTS idont remember him in BCOY in1972/73 if anything he would more than likely been in DCOY but if anyone have got a better photo let me know ok I WISH ALL MEMBERS A HAPPY NEW YEAR KEITH MAY

If I remember correctly, the photograph was taken at the original Hump PVCP. Maybe somebody like Bob Lloyd will remember Keith.
