    Luc Van Gent MBE

    Gentlemen,

With sorrow I inform you of the death of Mr Luc Van Gent MBE who passed away last Wednesday.

Luc was a member of the Dutch Resistance in 1944 and assisted the 53rd (Welsh) Division in the liberation of his home city 'sHertogenbosch in October 1944.

After the war he and his wife Agnes started a foundation to host veterans of the Division and ran annual commemorative events. He was a remarkable character and a great friend to all the Welsh Regiments. His MBE was in recognition of his work with our veterans.

His funeral will take place on Wednesday10th July in 'sHertogenbosch

    JG
